Michael Patrick Staton

of Harrison, AR

July 2, 2019

After a long battle with melanoma, Michael Patrick Staton went to be with his Lord on the morning of Tuesday, July 2, 2019. He was born March 9, 1974, to Mike and Phyllis (Fletcher) Staton, in Fort Scott, Kansas.

Michael ran his own business, M&T Electronics, for over two decades where he worked beside family and friends. He married his soul mate, Julie, on July 13, 2013. Michael was an avid music lover. His genius mind was constantly solving the world's problems, from day to day issues, to politics, and religion, and he loved getting into lasting conversations about his point of view on those topics. He was known for his intelligence, inexhaustible humor, constant laughter, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Michael had never met a stranger and wanted all to come to faith and trust in Jesus Christ. His faith was unwavering.

Michael is survived by his wife, Julie (Kerr) Staton; five children, Logan and Jessica Staton, Chris, Megan, and Erin Kocher; his mother and father, Mike and Phyllis Staton; his sister, Crystal and her husband Mike Williams; his nephews, Joey Staton and Josiah Williams; his niece, Micah Williams; his grandmother, JoAn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation was 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Faith Assembly of God Church.

Funeral was 10:00 AM, Friday, July 12, 2019, at Faith Assembly of God Church.

Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.

We are praying for your sweet heart Julie! I know that Michael is resting in the arms of Jesus! We are praying for your earthly heart, because I know it is breaking.❤️😘. We just hope that you can take a bit of comfort knowing Micheal is laying at Jesus’ feet without pain. Please take care of yourself! I know your loved ones will hold you close, please take comfort in that. I pray you will feel Jesus surrounding you through this time and will continue to feel his presence as you continue to heal. Not that you will ever forget, because you have precious memories! Love and lots and lots of prayers and hugs to you! You know where we live, would love to see you! ❤️🙏🥰😢

Bubba, I will always cherish the numerous memories we will always have of you!! Rest assured God has us all in His worthy hands and we will continue your wish to share the love of Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation that He offers. We continue to trust in our Lord. I am so very grateful for every second of time we shared and for God giving you to us to share life with. I will remember your love, humor, strength and faith most of all. Thank you for getting me on my first cruise together with you, Julie, and Mike and for showing me all about life. We can hardly wait to see your smiling face in Heaven!! Until we embrace again, we love you and miss you terribly!!!
Your little sister, Crystal
