May 6, 1951 - January 7, 2019

Mike Henley, age 67, of Compton, Arkansas, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born May 6, 1951, at Tomball, Texas, the son of William ''Dave'' and Mary Ruth (Tolliver) Henley, whom preceded him in death.

Mike was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Mike married Pat Davidson July 1, 1972, at Compton Open Bible Church. He enjoyed farming and being active in the Gideon Ministry in the Carroll County Camp in which he participated in the jail ministry for 27 years.

Mike is survived by his wife Pat, of the home; his daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Tim Edgmon and of Compton and Christie and Joe Burrow of Smithville, Arkansas; four grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.


Visitation was Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Friday, January 11, 2019, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Mitchell Rains and Steve Emerson officiating. Burial was in Plumlee Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Russell Walker, Tim Edgmon, Joe Burrow, Jerry Parker, Sonny Davidson, and Charles Clark.

Honorary pallbearers were the Compton Fire Department, Caleb Edgmon, Check Smith, and Delano Newberry.

Pat and family I am so sorry for your loss. I always remembered Mike a gentle person, kind heart and wearing overalls. Growing up on the mountain and knowing you, Mike, Dave and Mary Ruth brought many memories. God Bless you all.
