Donald Lee Woods, age 84, of Harrison, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison. He was born Saturday, August 4, 1934, in Boone County, Arkansas, the son of Spencer Talbert and Flossie Ann (Head) Woods.
Donald attended the Pentecostal Church of God in Harrison. He was cowboy at heart. He was a dairy farmer, worked for a tree nursery, and the City of Harrison in the water and sewer department. At the Harrison Retirement Center, he enjoyed being the exercise leader.
Donald is survived by three daughters, Sharon K. (Charlie) Estes of Harrison, Sandy (Jerry) Neighbors of Piercetown, and Linda Lane of Harrison; his son, Donald Wayne Woods, of Oak Grove, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne Estes, Tabitha Lee (Big Mike) Thomas, Misty Cates, Kristi Cates, Kenneth (Akino) Cates, Melissa Yanke, Russell (Lelia) Eye and Cody Lane; 14 great-grandchildren; his brother, Billy Joe Woods and Lucille of Bergman; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Woods; his daughter, Jeannie Kay Woods; his parents; two sisters, Merle June Woods and Dolly Faye Smith; two grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Eye and Justin Allen Eye; and his niece, Brenda Kay Woods-Collins.
Visitation was Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Sharon Estes and Raymond Edwards officiating.
Interment was in Burlington Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald's grandsons and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were the residents and staff at Harrison Retirement Center, Dr. Kevin Jackson and staff, UAMS and the staff of Hillcrest Home.
