Helen Ruth Kolb passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison Friday, October 26, 2018, at the age of 80. She was born at Low Gap, Arkansas August 28, 1938, the daughter of James Tilton and Ora Belle Farmer. Helen was a lifelong resident of Newton County, Arkansas. In recent years she resided at the Newton County Nursing Home.
Helen is survived by her mother, Ora Belle Farmer, of Jasper; her nephew, James Farmer; her niece and her husband, Christina and Wayne Stuart; two great-nieces, Andrea Burris and Alexis Farmer; and one great-nephew, Jaxon Stuart, all of Harrison. Helen was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Clarence Ray Farmer; and her husband, Foster Kolb.
Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Graveside service is 2:00 PM, Friday, November 2, 2018, at Union Hill Cemetery, Parthenon, Arkansas, with Bro. David Shekels officiating.

I am so sorry to hear of Helen's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you. I was always amazed at how Helen dealt with things and got around. Most people would have given up long ago. Determination seems to be a part of the Farmer's makeup.
So that you know who I am my grandmother was Ruth Farmer Burdine, my mother Betty Burdine Evans. Maybe sometime when I am in your area we might run into each other over at Cherry Grove Cemetary as we did in the past.
