Sarah Juanita Riggs, age 94, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison. She was born November 5, 1918, in Boaz, Missouri, the daughter of James Bethel and Rosa Belle (Skaggs) Merritt. Along with her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Linley Mason; her second husband, LaVere Riggs; her sons, William James Mason and Jerry Wayne Mason; two brothers, Rolla H. "Buster" Merritt and Jimmie Lee Merritt; and her sister, Ann Belle Mason.

Juanita was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a longtime resident of Harrison. She retired from M & M Concrete Ready Mix as their bookkeeper. She was the former owner of Riggs Shoe Shop. Juanita was a member of the Business and Professional Women for many years. She loved Razorback basketball and watching wrestling on television. She loved eating at Diamond Head Restaurant.

Juanita is survived by her grandson and his wife, James L. and Treva Mason, of Billings, Missouri; her granddaughter and her husband, Holly and Allan Dixon, of Western Grove, Arkansas; and her great-grandchildren, Aaron Mason, Ashlee Dixon, and Garrett Dixon.

Juanita is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Charlene Mason and Linda Mason; a host of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends including Cindy Newton, Joy Collins, and Tammy Moore.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Clyde Noakes officiating.

Graveside service was Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic, Missouri.

Pallbearers were James Mason, Allan Dixon, Garrett Dixon, Richard Riggs and Dave Showers.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Klepper, the staff of Hospice House, and the owners and staff of Diamond Head Restaurant.
