Alta grew up in Grubbs where she met and married her high school sweetheart, H.M. They moved to Newport and began raising their family later transferring to Searcy.
Throughout her life, Alta, was always involved in the community. She was a member of the Newport’s Business Women’s Club, a Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star, Secretary for the Gideon Auxiliary, and a long-time faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy.
Traveling, fishing, and needlepoint were things she always enjoyed, but their yearly trips to Florida in their RV each winter were treasured highlights for her and H.M.
She was a precious lady loved by many. Special thanks to the staff of Providence Assisted Living who so lovingly cared for our “mom” and “Grandmother” over the last year.
