Christopher Wood, 50, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020. He was born June 22, 1970 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Susan Wood and Thomas Wood.
He worked for CenterPoint Energy for 17 years, started Center Shot Ministries for the youth at Faith Outreach and was a member of Faith Outreach Church in West Helena, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Melissa Wood; two sons, Blake Wood (Ashley) of Lexa, Arkansas and Tyler Bourland of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Hannah Wood of West Helena, Arkansas and Brooklyn Roberts (Donald) of Lexa, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Kinlee Gilchrist, Easton Wood, Sutton Wood, Harleigh Gordon, Della Roberts, Finleigh Roberts, Ava Bourland, Addie Bourland and Lilly Blaine; parents, Susan Wood and Thomas Wood; two brothers, James Wood (Beth) of Alabama and Seth Wood (Kati) of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Marie Wood; father in law, Freddie Ginn; grandmother, Pauline Victory; and cousin, Anthony Woods.
A funeral service for Christopher Wood will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at Faith Outreach Church in West Helena, Arkansas with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. Brother Johnny Jones and Brother Jim Harrison will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Will Dale, Wes Kellar, Devon Hodges, Mitch Woods, Jessie Woods and Keelan Graves.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kelson Franklin, Nathaniel Banks, Clinton Pittman and Carl Woods.
We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Heath guidelines and liming indoor funeral and visitation attendance to 33[[][%]] of our chapel capacity. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
