W.C. "Sonny" Woods, 94, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020. He was born July 28, 1925 in West Helena, Arkansas to the late Willie Mae and John Woods.
He was a car dealer for over 60 years and enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie Woods; parents; daughter, Brenda Bratcher; and son, William Wayne Woods.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Woods (Tammy) of West Helena, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Shea Hart, Brian Bratcher, Beth Sutton, Morgan Secrease, and Cassie UySmith; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Boyd (Jimmy) of Benton Arkansas and Flora Mae Edwards of Hernando, Mississippi; four very devoted caregivers, Versi Johnson, Doris Nicholson, Lisa Sims and Freda Russell.
A graveside service for Mr. W.C. "Sonny" Woods, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home is complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines regarding COVID-19. We ask that all attendees practice social distancing by maintaining six feet apart at the graveside.

Ken We are so sorry to hear about Mr. w.C. He was a wonderful man and my grandfather's best friend. I remember alot of good stories they told and how they use to laugh together as hard as they worked together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. He will be missed terribly. Sorry to hear About Mr Sonny. I remember him always laughing and smiling and the fishing trips on the barge on the river. Just so many good memories of him. I will be keeping y’all in my prayers.

Dear Woods family I'm sorry to hear the passing of Sonny. My father is Sonny's cousin Bob Windland. My grandmother was JW 's sister Lorene they called her "Lady." Last saw Sonny with my father about 10 years ago. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
