I have such wonderful memories of Mary's big smile and wonderful laugh! I got to interact with her both as a fellow teacher at Immaculate Conception, and as a parent when I taught Jeff and Brooks. In both cases, Mary was always a ray of happiness and sunshine, even on a bad day! She was that person whom you just knew you could rely on, that person you were always glad to have in your corner. I know she will be much missed! The family is in my prayers!

Mr. Allen, Jeff and Brooks,

I am so saddened to hear this news. My deepest sympathy goes out to each of you. I know first hand how difficult it is to loose a mom, as mine past this April. Mrs. Allen was such a fun and giving woman. She helped me become a teacher, allowing me to do work in her classroom and teaching me that I could love the students and keep them reined it all at the same time. I’ll keep you all in my prayers. -Heidi (Hum) Doolittle

To the Allen Family:

I loved Mary a lots. She worked with me at 2 schools in PCSSD. Mary loved teaching reading and was passionate about education! When we worked at Harris Elementary she would sing We are the World. She knew our work would make a difference, and it did!

Often, Mary would share news about her sons who she loved with every breath. Mary loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.

My condolences and prayer for comfort,

Rick, Jeff and Brooks~
I am shocked and so sad to hear about Mary. We had a wonderful visit last year while waiting to get our drivers' licenses renewed. We talked about being retired teachers, caught up on what our husbands and boys were doing and bragged about our grandchildren. Please know that others are grieving along with you and will ask God to hold you close during this time of change.

Ricky,
I am very sorry to hear about Mary. Some of the best times of my life were spent with you (before Mary came along) and then with both of y’all. I knew she was the last of her clan and it is very sad to me that she is gone now, too. I still remember running into you at the Market Place in Springdale some 20 years ago. It would be nice to catch up again sometime. Man, again, I am so sorry.... You and your boys will be in my thoughts and prayers. All the best to you, my friend!

Rick, Teresa & I are sending prayers to you and your family. As you know, Mary is in a wonderful place and she will always live in your heart for sure until the day you guys reunite. I remember like it was yesterday when we were in Stuttgart asking Mary about your HSA account to help fund the duck hunt. She was thinking Rick & Blake together spell trouble.

Take care my friend. We are all here for you and your family.

My heart is broken for you Ricky, Jeffrey, and Brooks!
I have such wonderful memories of the years of friendship that Mary and I shared. ASU, AOPi, being in each other’s weddings & teaching. Then along cam Jeffery with Corey joining him a month later. We helped each other through those first pregnancies and then spent many days at the kitchen table visiting while the boys played. I can see her drinking those Tabs right now!! 😂And she could barely sit still for checking on Jeffrey every few minutes. It took me a bit to get over missing my friend when she moved to Sherwood. If there is one thing I know to be true of Mary Allen... is that she was the epitome of a devoted mother.
I know your lives will never be the same, but I pray that God will be with you during this time of grief and will soon begin to teach you how to continue your walk without her In this life... until you see her again in the next!
Someone once said that “ death is just a comma in a long sentence.” I think that is a perfect way for us to look at it.
Please know that I, like so many others, am praying for all of you. May our Lord grant you a peace that transcends all understanding.
