Zelma L. Edwards, 86, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born July 16, 1933 in Lexa, Arkansas to the late Myrtle Elouise and Johnny Guy Galloway.
She was a member of Lexa Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas.
She is survived by three sons, Earl Garner of West Helena, Arkansas, David Garner of Lancaster, Kentucky, and Joe Garner (Pam) of Bald Knob, Arkansas; daughter, Mary Williams of West Helena, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; sister, Pat Griffin (John) of Lexa, Arkansas; brother, Eddie Galloway (Eve) of Georgetown, Kentucky; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elouise and Guy Galloway; three brothers, Leon Galloway, James Galloway, Arthur Galloway; one daughter, Bonnie Smith.
A church service for Zelma Edwards will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Lexa Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.,
Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Lexa Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas. Interment to follow at LaGrange Cemetery in LaGrange, Arkansas. Brother Tommy Jacobs will officiate.
Pallbearers are James Griffin, Joe Garner, Jr., Michael Ferebee, Jimmy Sanders, Harold Newsom, and Tyler Griffin.
