Vernon Nolan Morris, 69, of West Helena, AR, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 26, 2019. He was born October 15, 1949 in Helena, AR to the late Wilbert and Myrtus (Nolan) Morris. Vernon was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Lynn Morris; and his brothers, Rusty and Martin Morris.
Vernon was a faithful member of the West Helena Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. He devoted his life to the Lord and his family. Vernon had a wonderful personality and was a delightful person to talk to. In his down time he enjoyed making golf clubs and refinishing furniture. Vernon was loved very much by his friends and family, who will dearly miss his laughter and happy personality.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; his wife of 52 years, Dixie Jo (Henson) Morris of West Helena; his son, Vernon ''Scooter'' Morris, Jr. of Conway; his daughter, Shelly Morris of West Helena; his grandson, Benjamin Morris of Conway; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.

Dear Dixie Jo, Vernon was a wonderful cousin. I loved my Aunt Virginia, and Vernon was a whole lot like her. Wish I had known about his passing in time to send condolences at a more appropriate time. Hope you and family are getting to a new normal. Hugs and prayers!
