Peggy JoAnn Hudson, 84, of Conway, Arkansas formerly of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019. Peggy JoAnn was born Saturday, March 23, 1935 in Ethel, Arkansas to Lloyd West and Lena Criswell West.
Peggy JoAnn is survived by two sons, Sam Hudson (Eunice) of Elaine, Arkansas and Gene Hudson (Jennifer) of West Helena, Arkansas; two daughters, Jo Ann Carroll of Conway, Arkansas and Teresa Morelock (Sid) of Boaz, Alabama; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend, Ms. Ruthie Young.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Ray James.
The family wants to give special thanks to the staff at Salem Place Nursing Home and Rehab of Conway, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 1:00 p. m. till 2:00 p. m. with service starting at 2:00 p. m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Mellwood, Arkansas. Brother Nathan Gorman and Brother Craig Routon will officiate the service.
Pallbearers are Sam Hudson, James Morelock, Austin Balentine, Floyd Balentine, Kobie Balentine, Evan Slater.
Honorary Pallbearers are J.R. Davidson and Tony Silva.

On behalf of my sister and brother we are so sorry to hear about Ms Peggy. She was such a sweetheart. The friendship she gave our dad, Bucky, and us in his last years meant so much. We loved her and she will be missed.

Ms. Peggy will always hold a special place in my heart. She was my first love at Salem Place Nursing & Rehab and I know she will always be with me as my guardian angel.
