Elna Ann Reid Throgmorton, age 87, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born June 28, 1931 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas the daughter of the late George A. and Lois Riley Reid.

Mrs. Throgmorton was a member of the Helena First United Methodist Church in Helena, Arkansas. She was an elementary school teacher in the Helena-West Helena Public School District.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glenburn L. Throgmorton, a daughter Beverly A. Throgmorton, and one sister Meredith Reid Harrelson.

Survivors include one daughter Kathy Jones and husband Ben of Mineral Springs, AR; one son Jim Throgmorton of Jonesboro, AR; two granddaughters Molly K. Throgmorton and Meredith R. Lancaster and husband Zach all of Fayetteville, AR.

Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until service time, Saturday, June 8 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home 508 Plaza, West Helena, AR. 72390

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 8 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, with Bro. Ben Jones officiating, burial to follow in Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas, AR.

Donations can be made in Mrs. Throgmorton's honor to the Helena First United Methodist Church.

So sorry to hear about Ann. She was such a sweet lady and always had a smile on her face. We both were teachers, but never in the same building. We shared many ideas in meetings and also a few complaints. Our children shared many events at school and eventually we were roped into doing something to help out. Many good times together. My prayers are for the family and friends. Hope you will also remember the good times.
