Sylvester Williams, age 93, of Alma, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May, 4, 2019 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Mr. Williams was born December 4, 1925 in Kirby, Arkansas to the late Willie Ann Paisley and Joe Williams.
He retired as a farm mechanic and specialized in cotton pickers.
He is survived by one son, Stan Williams (Elaine); one daughter, Yolanda Gunn; six grandchildren, Amy Gunn, Miriam Gunn, Esther Gunn, Courtney Williams (Stacey), Jeremy Williams (Rebecca), Stephen Williams (Cacy); ten great-grandchildren; sister, Cordelia Brock.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances; parents; six brothers, Ernest Williams, Doyle Williams, David Williams, O.L Williams, O.B Williams, Robert Williams; sister, Zeltha Daughtry; one son-in-law, Parker Gunn.
Services for Sylvester Williams will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M., May 8, 2019 in Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M., May 8, 2019. Interment to follow at Eventide Cemetery in Marvell, Arkansas. Brother L.C Mitchell will officiate.
Pallbearers are the sons, grandsons, and nephews.

Yolanda, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I did not see the notice until just now. If I had known, I would have been there for you. Your Dad lived a good long life, and I'm sure he is celebrating in Heaven. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and Stan.
