William Radway (Billy) Gibbs, 71, of Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas but formerly of West Helena, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep March 8, 2019. He was born September 13, 1947 to Radway and Bessie Lee Gibbs.
Billy was a truck driver for over 60 years and his love for big trucks came at an early age on the farm with his dad. If you knew Billy, then you know he only drove the best trucks which were Peterbilts. He loved spending time with family, watching sprint car races and enjoyed several races at Riverside with his family. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Gibbs; three daughters, Cammie Mallard (David), Meagan Steiner (Trey) Chelsea Jones (Zach); one sister, Nancy Reeves (Marlin); one brother, Gregory Gibbs (Pam); seven grandchildren, Jenna Mallard, D.J. Mallard (Kayla), Will Mallard, Walker Patton, Abree Patton, Weslyn Jones, Hadyn Steiner; one unborn great-grandchild, Baby Mallard due August 2019; a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Jeannie Jackson Gibbs.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Monday, March 11, 2019 with service to follow at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home West Helena, Arkansas. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Services performed by Adam Rowland.
Pallbearers are D.J Mallard, Will Mallard, Walker Patton, Dustin Patton, Trey Steiner, and Zach Jones.
Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Reeves, Marlin Reeves and David Mallard.
Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.

I was sorry to hear of Billy's passing...was out of town and unable to attend the funeral but wanted to express our condolences and let you know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers!

I am so sorry to hear this and my prayer for God's peace and comfort to Billy's family and friends. I worked with Billy many years at Helena Chemical and he was always great to work with. Very positive all the time and always available. He was still driving when I retired, but he was a good one for sure! I pray he is resting in total peach now with his family and our Lord.
Hey girls I want you to know u are in my thoughts and prayers. Always loved me some mr.billy with that smile on his face and jolliness in his voice. I know some people say it will be ok and it gets better . I'm not I'm going to say just hold on to your memories and share them often . I will be praying for y'all.
