Louie Gene Meiers, 75, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Crest Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Mr. Meiers was born Sunday, January 3, 1944 to M. W. Meiers and Edna Jenkins Meiers in Helena.
Mr. Meiers is survived by son, Jeff Meiers (Lisa) of Beaumont, Texas and daughter, Jennifer Laxson (James) of Augusta, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Bryce Meiers, Alyssa Laxson, Kyle Laxson and Jackson Laxson; one brother, Marion Meiers (Barbara) of Crossville, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his, wife, Estelle Murry
Meiers; his parents, M. W. Meiers and Edna Jenkins Meiers; two sisters, Esselene Meiers & Linda Gibson two brothers Earl and Willie B. Meiers.
Mr. Meiers was of the Baptist Faith as well as a retired Fireman for West Helena.
Family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942 or the Memorial of your choice.
Memorial services will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 10:00 a. m. at Roller-Citizens Chapel West Helena, Arkansas. Roller-Citizens (870)572-2571 has charge of arrangements 508 Plaza West Helena, Arkansas.

So sorry to hear of Louie’s passing. We grew up down the street from each other and played together. He was a good man and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
My heart goes out to you Jennifer and Jeff. Louie was my favorite uncle and he could always make me smile. I have so many great memories of him and all of us. I wish I could be there Thursday but you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
