Mae Elizabeth Liz Wooten Jones, age 78, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee. Liz was born October 13, 1940 to the late H.H. and Mae Alice Smith Wooten. She was employed as a seamstress for Bobby Brooks and she was also a homemaker.
Survivors are her husband, Brevard J.B.; four sons, Bobby (Cynthia) of West Helena, Donald (Kathy) of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Charles Charley (Sondra) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and J. B. (Stacie) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Elizabeth ''Beth'' Jones, Donald Henry Jones Jr., George Parker Jones, Seldane Jones, Samuel Jones, Shaelynn Jones; one sister, Lillie Mae Fry of Mocksville, North Carolina; three brothers, Joel Wooten of Brighton, Albert Wooten of Marianna, Arkansas and Harry Lawrence Wooten of Hot Springs, Arkansas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Howard H.H. and Mae Alice Smith Wooten; five brothers, Lamar, Herman, Walter, Irvin, and Henry Wooten; and one sister, Ona Mae Griffith.
Funeral service for Liz Wooten Jones will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Brother Glynn Jones will officiate.
Palllbearers will be Jay Jones, Richard Wooten, Ricky Griffith, Kelly Jones, Patrick Jones, and Tracy Wooten.
Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, AR (870) 572 2571.
