James Murrah "Bud" Buford, 85, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Helena, Arkansas. He was born March 3, 1933 in Marianna to the late J. K. Buford and Grace Belle Clifton Buford.
Mr. Buford is survived by his son, James M. Buford, Jr. of Helena; two daughters, Cindy Hanley of Helena and Tammy Bradley (Jacky) of Helena; four grandchildren, Brandy McGee, Cassie Jo Gehring (Andrew) , Dana Bradley, and a very special one whom he raised, Danielle Seaton (Troy); five great-grandchildren, Blake Wood (Ashley), Hannah Wood, Dylan McGee, Bryce McGee and Scarlett Gehring; three great-great grandchildren, Easton Wood, Harleigh Gordon & Kinlee Gilchrist.; one sister, Jo Belle Howard of Tennessee; one brother, Fred Buford (Barbara) of Marianna; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his two dogs, Petey and Prissy.
He was preceded in death by his spouse of 64 years, Norma Buford; his parents, J. K. and Grace Buford; one brother, Thomas "Nig" Buford, one son-in-law, John Hanley; and his parents-in-law, James and Helen Harris.
A memorial service for James "Bud" Buford will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
Service will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
Hope all is well with the passing of Mr. Buford . Being his next door neighbor growing up was always good because he was the best . Sorry that I was unable to make the funeral service for him. Love y'all . Junnie Stokes , friend for life.
Dear Brinky and Troy, we are so sorry for your loss. He was your dad and he loved you too. Now he is back with the love of his life. They are both looking down on you and they both will always be with you. If there is anything we can do for you let us know. May God wrap his arms around you and help you through this time.
We were so sorry to hear of Mr Buds passing. He was such a friendly and fun loving fella. When we were young he and Ms Norma would invite us out for her deer bbq and fish fries. Such an awesome family! I know yall are gonna miss him dearly, but he is with his sweet Norma Sue and they are spending Christmas in Heaven this year!!! Fly high Mr Bud we loved you.

Cindy. Jay and Tammy. and Fred and Jobell. i was so sorry to hear about Bud. He was always a very nice person and i know you will all miss him so much. he kept everyone laughing .He would come to our house to visit Robert before the Alzheimers got to bad and Robert still knew him and they would laugh and talk for a long time .We all know they are both in a better place now but they are missed.
