Bernice Ellen Hopping, 91, a resident of Paris, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at her home.
She was born May 19, 1928, in Blue Eye, Missouri to the late Andy and Minnie (Fraizer) Hopping.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Oliver, Clyde, Lloyd and Donald Hopping and a sister, Velma Payne.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley Wewer of Ozark, Darlene Stovall of Paris and Jewett Snook of Paris; twelve grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.
All services will be private. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.

Aunt Bernice was always a bright light to me. Her drive and stamina inspired; her determination demonstrated what it meant to have true grit.
Knowing that she is gone fills me with great sadness, but I am so grateful for the pieces of her that live on in my mind.
I hope that you too can find comfort in the memories that she left behind.
