Weldon was always a very dear friend i had a tremendous amout of respect for. We both worked for Farm Bureau in the same jobs in our respective states of Arkansas and Florida. When i was first promoted Weldon graciously spent a lot of time with me explaining the job not because he had too but because he wanted to help me. I always looked up to Weldon. He was like a greatly loved grandfather figure. His honesty and integrity were unquestioned. He was bold in telling you his opinion in the most respectful manner. He loved his wife Louise and 3 sons and grandkids very much. Thank goodness for his caregiver Sandy who was a blessing that gave him many more years to enjoy trips to his cattle farm which actively managed. After Louise passed he wrote me a note the following month telling me and suggesting we "get together before time runs out". I share that advice from Weldon with several friends. I am so grateful he suggested that enabling us to have several very good visits at his home.
