Carol Anne Samples

of North Little Rock, AR

May 23, 1944 - August 10, 2019

Carol Anne Samples of North Little Rock passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019. She was born May 23, 1944 to Donald Rolfe Corbet and Elizabeth Corbet in Boca Raton, FL. Her parent's death preceded her own; however, she is survived by her loving husband, James ''Buddy'' Samples, of 33 years; her two daughters, Angela Green (Larry) and Christina Johnston (Brandon); five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, including Taylor Green, Maggie Green, Jett Johnston, Jesse Johnston, and Wyatt Johnston.

Throughout her life, Carol enjoyed exploring nature. She visited many national parks-- her favorites being Yellowstone, Glacier, and Denali-- during her cherished time as an accountant for Poe Travel and World Wide Travel and continued to see the world with her husband after she retired. When at home she could often be found observing the vibrant wildlife that found sanctuary in her backyard.

Carol's family would like to thank Baptist Hospice for all their love and care, and in lieu of flowers requests donations be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home.

Sending love and prayers to Carole's family; knew her all through Park Hill Elementary, Jeff Davis and NLRHS and First United Methodist Church, Girl Scouts. and when she had her first child. I had lost touch after moving our of state in the early 70's and saw her at one class reunion, years ago. She was still so sweet and pretty.

Buddy & family...we truly are heartbroken about losing . We have some great memories from "the gang" together at your house, Christmas at our house, cookouts at Mac's house & the list goes on. Our world traveler inspired us to travel a lot too, but we have settled into the comfort of cruising. We will take our 17th next year. She was a gracious, loving lady and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all through this difficult time.
