August 25, 1933 - July 30, 2019

Ernest Joseph Lock, Jr. of North Little Rock passed away July 30, 2019. He was born at home in Conway on August 25, 1933, the fourth son of Ernest and Mary Bruich Lock.

For most of his life he was a professional Beauty Supply salesman. He loved meeting and talking to people. Until his retirement, he owned Bopp Salon Services.

Ernest was a member of the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, and firmly believed in the good they do.
His greatest pleasure, after working in his hobby shop, was being able to help the priests at St. Edward Church. His greatest honor was being able to serve for Mass and Benediction on Tuesday evening at St. Edward's. He was meticulous in laying out the vestments for the priest.

Surviving him are his wife of 61 years, Dana; four children, Ernest III (Lisa), Jeannie Bogard (Ronnie), Michael (Traci), Karla; and grandchildren, Lauren Telep (Nate), Ross Bogard, Joseph, Michael Jr., Cassidy and Katie; brothers, Donald and Dennis; sister, Mary Weber.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, James, Alvin, and Clarence.

Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6-7 PM with a Rosary service beginning at 7 PM at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

Funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 3, 2019 followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Premier Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for the many kindnesses shown to their husband and father.

Uncle Joe was a true original in so many ways. In a professional capacity he enjoyed making people look and feel better of themselves through Bopp Beauty Supply. As a child and servant of God he gave his all through his work with his beloved St. Edwards Church and through the Knights of Columbus. His true handiwork on this earth was the love he gave to family— not only to beautiful Aunt Dana and his children and grandchildren but extended family as well. As his niece, he was always ready with warmth, love and encouragement. His infectious smile and laugh will always be his trademark and one of his most memorable qualities. Although he is missed, we should rejoice in his being with our Heavenly Father. Much love to Aunt Dana, cousins Joey, Jeannie, Michael and Karla and their families.
We love You,
