September 5, 1956 - June 13, 2019
On June 13, 2019, Debra Fay Stults, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 62 after a brave and inspiring battle with cancer. She was born on September 5, 1956 in Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Debbie was loved greatly by her best friend and husband of 44 years, John, and her two sons, Ian and Brennan. She stayed home to raise her sons and was very proud of Ian's marriage to Sara and Brennan's marriage to Lisa. She will be remembered for the love she had for her granddaughters, Kaylee, Allison, and Eliza. She is also survived by her father, Gerald Cleveland, and her loving sister, Lisa Schuyler. Debbie is predeceased by her mother, Teen Cleveland.
Many will remember Debbie for her beautiful gardens every season of the year and in the community as a Master Gardener. She was a talented fiber artist who enjoyed spinning and weaving but will be remembered best for her quilted works of art that are cherished by her family and friends. Debbie shared her love of the arts with her family and countless students to whom she taught art history at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
Debbie developed a passion for traveling while living abroad as an Air Force wife in the Far East and Western Europe. Later in life she traveled throughout the United States, Central America, Africa, Asia, and Western Europe. She will be remembered for the joy she had experiencing the cultures from many countries.
Debbie was quick to make friends through gardening, teaching, and her book club at church where she enjoyed helping others, improving the lives of everyone who knew her.
The Stults family welcomes you in remembering her at a viewing between 6 and 8 PM on June 18, 2019 and the funeral at 10 AM on June 19, 2019, both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home at 5509 JFK Blvd North Little Rock, and interment at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
My deepest condolences to you and your family during this time.
May the Lord give you strength and peace that passes understanding. I remember Debbie as a teenager as her younger sister Lisa and I were and are good friends and sisters in Christ. Your family will be in my prayers. I wept and was so happy when Debbie was baptized into Christ. I look forward to the day when we can meet again in the place that God has prepared for those who love and obey Him. Till then may God bless your family and keep them in His care. Love in Him, Beta (& Dave)
John, Janis and I are so sorry about Debbie's passing and your loss. She was so full of life, such a nice and interesting person. You two were a great couple and so fun to be with. It's too bad that she had such a horrible disease that took her too soon. Maybe you both can have some peace now. We will always remember her and the great time that we had on the Mexico trip. Our heartfelt condolences.

John, Ian, and Brennan, I am so sorry for your loss. Debbie contributed greatly to the Art Department at UA-Little Rock. She was a dedicated teacher, and an excellent student. Her love of art and deep interest in its history was shared with her teachers and students alike. It was a joy to serve as her thesis advisor.
I'm so very sorry about Debbie. I was glad that I got to know her. She was always nice to me and asked about what was going on with me no matter how she felt. I clean her house and we always had good conversations about everything while I was there. She was a very strong person until the end.
So sorry for your loss.
Prayers for your family for comfort and healing following Ms. Debbie's passing. She was such an awesome woman, and I know her absence has left a hole only God can heal.
