So sorry to hear about Gene's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I missed the obituary and was unaware of the funeral until Savanah told me just now.
I will meet you in the morning on the bright riverside,Â
When all sorrows have drifted away.Â
I'll be standing at the portal with the gates open wideÂ
At the close of life's long, dreary day.Â
Cho: I'll meet you in the morning with a "How do you do?"Â
And we'll sit down by the river, and with rapture, old acquaintance renew.Â
You'll know me in the morning by the smile that I wear.Â
When I meet you in the morning in that city that is built foursquare.Â
I will meet you in the morning in the sweet by and by,Â
And exchange the old cross for a crown.Â
There will be no disappointments and no body shall dieÂ
In that land where life's sun goeth down.Â
I will meet you in the morning at the end of the wayÂ
On the streets of that city of gold,Â
Where we all can be together and be happy for ayeÂ
As the years of eternity roll.
Will always have fond memories of Gene. Our condolences to Virginia, Jenny, and Beverly. Thinking of y’all.
We remember all of the great camping trips with this wonderful couple. Praying for all of the family. Virginia do you remember chasing Ed all over the parking lot at one the stops on our way to Conton? The homeless guy yelling "get him lady get him".
