I and my family run. My wife and daughter participated in the "Fans of Freedom 5K and kids scramble". I had to work, so my daughter ran it. Fitting, because she practically grew up in the unit and saw the first race as a special event. I was proud to see the race shirts they got for the race. As I don't usually look at the sponsor side of the shirt, I was walking around wearing the shirt, and my daughter commented on the "in memory of Jason Heath Johnson"... I was completely crushed instantly and even ashamed that I did not know. I had the honor of knowing and working with Jason as he would be hired as my replacement in the Guidance and Control Shop. We worked together so many times on drill weekends, and I never saw him without a smile. An easy laugh and great sense of humor. My apologies for the late entry, and to the family, please know we are praying for you. There are no words to explain how sorrowful this is. May the Lord carry you through this sorrowful time and sustain you until we see Jason again.
Bridget Johnson and family, I am sorry for the passing of SMSgt Johnson. He was certainly a leader and trusted member of the base. My prayer's through these most difficult times.
