After her battle with Alzheimer's disease, Mary Ellen May passed peacefully on September 14, 2020.
Mary had a great love for music, her family and American pride. She loved rooting for her two favorite teams, the Grizzlies and Cardinals. She would rarely miss a Grizzlies game, win or lose she loyally cheered them on!
Mary was born September 13, 1946. She is survived by her loving husband of more than 55 years, Bill May; her children, Mandy Kilday, Terry May and Tina Middleton; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Needham, Jack Kilday, Amelia May and CJ Middleton; her sisters and brothers, Betty Kennedy, Susan Kennedy, Rebecca Lawson, JoAnn Ott, Kathy Lee, Robert Thompson, Roy Lee Thompson, and her twin brother Perry Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Thelma Thompson; her sister Janie Deaton; and brothers Bobby Gene Thompson, Eugene Thompson and Freddie Thompson.
A graveside service will be held at Lewis Memorial Cemetery in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas at 11 AM on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Alzheimer's Association of Central Arkansas.
Roller-Citizens Funeral Home will be following guidelines issued by the Arkansas Department of Health and the CDC regarding COVID-19. Social distancing of at least six feet must be practiced and all funeral attendees must provide and wear their own masks.
This was my grandmother. Such a loving woman, she was. I looked her name up on Google just to see what would popped up, and then i saw her picture and burst into tears. She will most certainly be missed.
