Ernest Lee Taylor, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi at the age of 86. Ernest was born May 7, 1934 in Wynne, Arkansas to parents Holder and Tennie Taylor. He later in life met and married his love, Beryl Hoisington Taylor. They were able to spend the next 65 years together before God called him home.

Ernest worked in the insurance industry for over 45 years with many of those with Drummond-Citizens Funeral Home as a sales agent. He loved to spend his free time with his wife and their local bowling league. He was very proud of his yard work especially his lawn. He also enjoyed hunting from time to time.

Ernest is survived by his loving wife and one brother, Vernon Taylor of Illinois. He leaves a number of other nieces, nephews and friends who will forever miss his gentle smile. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven L. Taylor, brothers; Clarence E. Taylor, H.D. Taylor, Alvin Taylor, Travis Taylor and sisters; Mildred M. Smithee, Emily Shaver, Minnie Wilson and Pearlie Allen.

Mr. Taylor will lie in state from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM with the family receiving their friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis. Private Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park.
