Jean Richardson Baratti

Jean Baratti, 89, passed away on February 1, 2020, in Memphis, TN at the Methodist Germantown Hospital.

Jean was born on January 16, 1931 to William Troy Richardson and Garah Foshee Richardson. She grew up in Mississippi and moved to Arkansas where she married the love of her life, Joe Baratti in 1948. They spent over 70 wonderful years together raising their family in Crittenden County. She was a member of First Baptist Church in West Memphis and loved singing in the choir and volunteering at the Church office. She was a retired West Memphis Municipal Court Clerk. She also worked several years at East Arkansas Regional Mental Health Center. During retirement she enjoyed golfing, bridge and even co-managed Meadowbrook Country Club with her husband, Joe.

Jean is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, her two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include one son, Joe Baratti, Jr. (Linda); one daughter, Sheree Baratti Montgomery (Tom); three grandsons: Pete Baratti, Matt Montgomery and Micah Montgomery (Reaghan); two granddaughters: Bekah Montgomery Kleck and Sarah Montgomery Carter; and two great-grandsons: Zeke and Elijah Knox Carter. She is also survived by lifelong employee and family friend, Freddie McVay.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at West Memphis First Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

I am so very sorry to read of Jean's passing I originally met Jean back in the early 80's when I worked for WM Utility. She was a great lady. My prayers are with your family.
