February 20, 1959 - January 9, 2020
Glenda Dawne Jolly passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by family and was at peace. Her legacy is one of acceptance, understanding, and hard work. She was a wonderful mother, sister, wife and friend. Her battle with cancer was fought with possibly her favorite person outside of her family, Dr. Raymond Osarogiagbon. She loved him as much as she loved anyone, and fought as hard for him as she did for her family. She was so thankful for the treatment she received from Baptist Cancer Center and from Dr. O in particular.
Raised in a large family, she was never short on advice and would offer it to anyone, anywhere. She knew things that only life could teach a person, and was always willing to help someone out. She had unwavering love for her family, her dog Boudreaux, and she loved her grand dogs as well. To say she will be missed would not be exactly what she would have wanted. She will be remembered. Remembered for the endless love and patience she showed. Remembered for her strength and determination. Remembered for kindness and empathy towards all people. She was an amazing mother, and we're all better for knowing her.
Dawne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd Taft Wharton and Laura Elsie Wharton, and her parents, Jack Peden Sr. and Glenda Williams
Dawne is survived by her husband, David Jolly. She is also survived by her children Joe (Shari), Laura, Jamie, Michael, Justin (Tracey), and Jennifer (Troy), and by her siblings Julie, Jack and Harold. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces Lynne and Meredith and her nephews John and Curt. Finally, she is survived by her grandchildren: Maylei, Trey, Morgan, Chase, Konner Landon, Mikah, Grace and Carter.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Baptist Memorial Healthcare Fund, Lung Cancer Research at 901.227.7123 or at www.BMHGIVING.org
Services will be Sunday January 12, 2020 at Roller Citizens in West Memphis. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the service following at 7:00 p.m.

Words fail me. Being out of the loop I did not know of her struggles. She was one of only a few that could always make you laugh and bring you out of a hum drum mood. I am sad for her whole family as well as her multitude of friends. May Mickey be there to greet her in heaven with a hug and a shot. She will forever watch over her clan and try to make you happy, joyous, and free as I hope she is now.
My heartfelt condolences and love to all of you.
Julie and Jack,
My condolences for the loss of such a close family member. She is pain free now and in a much happier place.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
God be with you and with all your friends and family. It has been such a blessing to have spent time with you.
Really enjoyed working with Dawne for 18 years at Jaco-Byrant Printers. She was always kind and a good friend to all that knew her. She always loved her kids and they were always close in her heart. She will be missed.
Praying for her family & friends
