Betty Lewise Pannell, of Southaven, Mississippi passed away on January 16, 2019 in Senatobia, Mississippi at the age of 76. Betty was born January 31, 1942 in West Helena, Arkansas to parents Vertis ''VM'' Shackleford and Louise Shackleford. She later met her love in Billy Pannell and the two were able to spend the next 57 years raising their own family together before God called her home. Betty was a member of the Long View Baptist Church in Southaven.

She is survived by her husband Billy, two sons; Tony Martin Pannell of Hernando, Mississippi and Shane Pannell of Memphis, Tennessee, two sisters; Jerrie Freyermuth of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Bonnie Newton of England, Arkansas. She will be deeply missed by four grandchildren; Bradley Pannell, Ashley Pannell, Nelson Pannell and Lindsey McCoy along with four great-grandchildren; Scarlet McCoy, Oliver McCoy, Emma Broadhead and Kenlee Pannell. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Elton Shackleford.
