of West Memphis, AR
March 22, 1931 - December 2, 2018
Buford Oneal Tankersley went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 2, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Jane Tankersley of West Memphis, Arkansas and two brothers Howard Tankersley of West Memphis, Arkansas and Julian Tankersley of Como, Mississippi. He is also survived by his son Oneal Tankersley of Burlison, Tennessee, his daughter Mary Lynn Tankersley-Adcock of Brighton, Tennessee, his daughter Susan Tankersley-Nelson of Mount Vernon, Washington, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
During his lifetime, Buford enjoyed spending time with his family and going fishing. He was a wonderful dad and great provider. He spent many years as a truck driver, and in his later years he shared his God given talents as both a singer and musician within his church and local nursing homes.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request any donations to help with services.
Jane, I am so sorry for your loss. Buford was a wonderful man. You and your family are in my prayers.
Jane, our hearts go out to you and your family. Buford was a good man and we enjoyed knowing him and playing music with him.
Jane, I was so very sorry to hear about Buford's passing. Please know that I will continue to lift you and your family in prayer for strength and guidance in the days ahead.
The Collierville TN Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Jam and its players and fans send our sincere sympathy to the family of Buford Tankersley. We trust that Buford is picking and singing in that Angel Band with so many others who've gone on before. May he rest in the sweet peace of God's love.
My deepest condolences to the family at this difficult time. I hope the words at Rev.21:4 bring you comfort. It says: "God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.†Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
