Walter Paul Sides, affectionately known as Paul, passed away Monday morning, November 12, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 61. He was born August 11, 1957 in Hollandale, Mississippi to parents Homer Lee Sides Sr. and Betty Jean Humphrey Sides. Paul worked in the drilling industry and had a passion for archaeology. He was the past president for the Memphis Mineral and Gemstone Society. He loved the outdoors and his cats.
He leaves behind a large loving family. Brothers; Homer Sides Jr., Billy Sides Sr. (Cheryl), Charles Sides Sr. and sisters; Barbara Johnson (John), Peggy Bussell, Carolyn Lorent and Carrie Watlington (Keith). He also leaves nephews; CJ Sides, Justin Lorent, Brian Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Timothy Bussell, Donnie Bussell, Robbie Utley, Keith Watlington Jr., Billy Sides Jr. and Jeremiah Hives along with nieces; Kesha Knight, Cassidy Lorent, Bonnie Bussell, Betty Bussell, Sharon Harrison, Tammy Green, Kimberly Sutter and Hayleigh Watlington. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Lois Utley and a brother Kenneth Sides.
