Johnny Dean VonRuedgisch of Searcy passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 in Little Rock at the age of 67. He was born on Monday, May 2,1952 to Fredrick and Margarette McFarland VonRuedgisch in Dudley, Missouri.

Johnny served our country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force. On his return, he worked as a courier for First Security Bank. He was an active member of the American Legion for 48 years holding many offices, positions held include D.E.C. office, Post Commander, NE Area VICE, VICE Commander, State Convention Assistant Sergeant of Arms. Johnny was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion for 13 years. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Freddie VonRuedgisch, Melton VonRuedgisch and Franklin VonRuedgisch.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 47 years, Sally Griffin VonRuedgisch; three brothers, James (Margie) VonRuedgisch of Coppers Cove, TX, Burley (Linda) VonRuedgisch of Popular Bluff, MO and Jerry VonRuedgisch of Fisk, MO; one sister Jobyna Owens of Popular Bluff, MO; his nieces and nephews, Angela Skiba, Bettina Nottingham, Kimberly Taylor, Sandy Hussar, Jason VonRuedgisch, Otto VonRuedgisch, Michael Harris and Robert Harris along with other family members and many friends.

Services are Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy with visitation at 12:00Noon followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00PM at the church. Interment will be at Augusta Memorial Park in Augusta, Arkansas to follow with full Military Honors by the Air Force Honor Guard. All services under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy.
