Bill Sutterfield of Searcy left this earth for the higher sky of free flight on March 27, 2019. He was born on July 26, 1945 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a jet aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam era.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dolan Sutterfield, his mother, Lola Mae Compton, stepfather, Charles Compton, sister Patricia Ann Qualls and son, Michael Sutterfield.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marguerite Sutterfield and her brothers and sister and their families who are very supportive of her during this time of her grief. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Foster (Kelly), and brother, Dan Compton, daughter-in-law, Marsha Sutterfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Surviving stepchildren and spouses include, Jennie Shamburger (Jim), Tre' Wharton (Tracie), Kelly Wharton, and Sarah Schillage-Truxillo(Tim); grandchildren Tiffany, Matthew and Katie Sutterfield, Josh Shamburger, Jamie (Alex) DuBois, Jessica (Shawn) Horst, Jared Shamburger. Eric Wharton, Rebecca (Sam) Bowers, Dominick Schillage; great grandchildren: Wyatt and Scout Horst.
Friends and families are invited to Visitation at Roller- Daniel Funeral Home on 411 East Race Ave. Searcy, Arkansas on Sunday, March 31st from 6pm to 8pm.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, April 1st at Roller-Daniel Chapel at 10:00am with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.
