Wayne C. Myers, 88, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was born in Drakes Spur, Arkansas on September 17, 1930 to Claude Myers and Rose Pierce Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Sarah Euleen Nolen Myers; sister-in-law, Eudola Nolen; and grandson, Samuel Wayne Myers.
Wayne went to Donahue Business School and worked as the Office Manager for International Shoe Company for 32 years. He later became the Office Manager at Prince Gardner Leather Company for 10 years. He was a member of the Pineview Church of Christ in Clay, Arkansas. When he was younger he enjoyed water skiing with his children and he enjoyed traveling to many states in the U.S. He liked squirrel hunting and fishing. Later in life he spent his time as a farming hobbyist.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Caruthers Myers; two sons, Danny Wayne Myers (Stephany) of Winona, Mississippi and Rodger Lynn Myers of Searcy; five grandchildren, William Mitchell Fielders (Brandi) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daniel Eugene Myers (Joylin) of Winona, Mississippi; Sara-Lorene Lucille Myers-Smith (Matthew) of Grenada, Mississippi and Rachelle Ann Myers (Dustin) of Vicksburg, Mississippi; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Pineview Church of Christ in Clay, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy. So sorry to hear of Wayne's death... It has been a long time since Shoe Factory, but I remember he always had a smile for people.
