My prayers and thoughts are with the family. Rick worked with my father, George, and sister, Linda, at the Norway Office. Our paths crossed several times when I worked at Plano. Remembering is the best honor...honor by remembering.

Susan, our love and prayers for you during this time and in the future without Rick. I remember how much fun Rick had playing dominoes with my mom. He had never played before she taught him and he had so much fun in beating her after he had played a few times.
Rick and I were born in the same month and year. Rick, Susan, and Doug and I shared the same month and year of anniversary
Thank you Susan and Rick for being such a good friend and for bringing Rick to Mom's funeral back in January while he was so weak. May God bless you.
Our love Doug & Carolyn.

the first memory of have of Rick was him being the guest speaker at the Family Council at Searcy Healthcare. He talked of different means to feed people who couldn't feed themselves. His talk was a great help to me in caring for my Mom.

Rick wrote a great article entitled "Making a Difference" for September 2011 issue of the Arkansas Advocates for Nursing Home Residents newsletter. I hope to get it to the church for Debbie Bond tomorrow, Wednesday.

Rick did make a diffference.

As president of the Arkansas Advocates For Nursing Home Residents, I want to express my condolences to Rick's family. I have spoken with Rick many times over the past years. His love and compasion for others made him a one of a kind advocate. The world needs more advocates like Rick. He will truly be missed by many. May God bless you and give you peace in your time of need.

My sincere heartfelt sympathy to you, Rick's family. While I do not know each of you, I was so uplifted to have known and been a Certified Volunteer Ombudsman with Rick. His great spirit of service to his facility and residents therein will be sorely missed. His wonderful attitude, even during these past several months and great smile will be missed by each of us and especially at our quarterly meetings. I know that God will reward Rick for his untiring dedication to his volunteer efforts over the years and he will be richly rewarded for it. May God bless you each and give you strength and peace in the days to come.

Rick and I joined the Ombudsman crew at the same time years ago. He was very dedicated to the elderly people he visited and always went the extra mile to help. Rick spoke with love about his wife and children and was a helpful friend to me and others. He is with his Lord and at peace now. He will be misssed with fond memories.

Mr. Bolton,

We spoke only a few times and you went above and beyond in your words and deeds.
I'm still struck by how bold you were in your service, and in that boldness, stood a fearlessness of true service in the eye of, at times, adversarial bureaucracy. This, I will never forget.
Congrats to you, sir. May you rest in peace. See you on the other side.

Rick will be missed by so many associated with his work as a Certified Volunteer Ombudsman. He was devoted to the CVO program and served many, many hours working on behalf of the residents he visited. Our condolences to the family along with our heartfelt thanks for sharing Rick with us for many years as we now share your grief.
