Ethel P. Grimes Newell, 88, of Lepanto, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019. She was born October 29, 1930 in Moundville, AL to George and Idella Grimes. She worked for American Greetings and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She is survived by her daughters: Joyce (Danny) Helms and Eva (Garry) Kumpf; sons: Don Newell, Ed (Naomi) Grimes and Bobby (Lynn) Newell; Eight grandchildren; Twenty-Six great-grandchildren; One great-great-grandchild. She is preceded by her husband: Boyce Newell; her parents; sister: Gracie Kankelfitz; brothers: David Grimes and Dink Grimes.
