Joye Ruth Flowers Murphy, 76, of Bassett, AR entered into rest July 12, 2019, at her home. Joye was born January 1, 1943 on Island 37, Tennessee. She was a member of Joiner Baptist Church.
Joye was preceded in death by her parents: Hilliard Flowers and Dorothy Coburn Flowers and sisters: Deltha Grimm, Evelyn Murphy and Lois Dean. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Murphy of Bassett, AR and grandson Kyle Murphy Nall of Lepanto, AR and Karen Murphy Wilson of Caraway, AR, whom she loved like a daughter. Sister Elsie Dean of Mountain Home, AR, brother Charles (Phyllis) Flowers of Alexander, AR, cousin Orland (Mary) Coburn of Keiser, AR and a host of nieces and nephews and in-laws to remember her. Pallbearers: Walter (Chip) Murphy, Kyle Murphy Nall, Scottie Murphy, Carl Murphy, Van Murphy Jr and Steven Edlemon. Honorary Pallbearers: Van David Murphy, Terry Murphy, Robert Earl Murphy, Justin Murphy, Billy Wayne Dean, Jeff Flowers and Robert Cotton.
As a youth in the Joiner area I of course knew Joye and over the years our paths crossed many time through joys of life and sorrows of death. It with great sadness I learn of her death and my sympathies are extended to all her dear family.
So sorry for your loss. We know she was your world.
As a child growing up with the Murphy family we were all so close in that area it was one big sharing and happy family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the John,family and friends of Joye. She was such a good caring person. May God bless her and the family.

So sad to hear about Joye’s passing. She was a wonderful person with a sweet HAPPY spirit—always a great big smile in her face. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her at E.R. Moore Co. in Osceola. My prayers are with the family.
