Gary Malcom Hovis Sr., 72, of Springville TN, passed away March 8, 2019. He was born August 2, 1946 in Osceola, AR to Malcolm ''Mac'' and Opal Phillips Hovis. He was a retired truck driver and member of Osceola Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, B B Queing, avid Arkansas Razorback Fan, eating and spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Gary (Christina) Malcom Hovis Jr. and Matthew Hovis both of Paris, TN; daughter: Shannon Hovis of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren: Ashlynn Hovis, J. T. Boyd Jr., Andrew Hovis, Timothy Boyd, April Hovis, Kaelin D. Boyd, Nicholas Valle, Caroline Hovis, Riley Hovis and Maddie Hovis; great grandchildren: Eloise Opal Rose Hovis and Anneilise Marie Hovis; brother: Dean Hovis of Osceola, AR; sister Pam Hovis Cook of Osceola, AR; a host of cousins and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Homer and Arvie D. Phillips.
