Peggy King, 90, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at home in Mountain View, Arkansas. Peggy was born on October 22, 1929 in Mayfield, Kansas to the late Henry Grady and Cora (Creason) Canant. Peggy married Hershel F. King on December 17, 1946, and the enjoyed their life together for 70 years. Peggy was a member of White Water Missionary Baptist Church and worked for 20 years as a bookkeeper for Sealy Mattress Company in Memphis, Tennessee. Peggy will be missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Hershel King of Mountain View, Arkansas.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grady and Cora (Creason) Canant and her son, Duane Eddie King.

Visitation is Monday, March 9, 2020 from 9-10 AM at White Water Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10 AM with Brother Phil Sutton officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are David Powell, Wayne Choate, Hugh McGaughey, Odes Sutton, Duane Gilbert, and Curtis Lancaster.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear that Ms. Peggy has left us. She was such a sweet lady that will be missed greatly. Prayers for Mr. King during this time.
