Alta Louise (Ivy) Avey, 97, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at The Waters of Mountain View. Alta was born on January 24, 1923 in Mountain View, Arkansas to the late Joe and Ona (Smith) Ivy. Alta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Alta loved crocheting and created many beautiful pieces; she was also famous for her chocolate sheet cake. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Alta is survived by her son, Joel Lee Avey and wife Sydney of Groveland, California; two grandchildren, April Avey Trabucco of Bainbridge Island, Washington and Devin Avey , wife Alyssa, and step-daughter Eden of Aptos, California; two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Tristan Trabucco of Bainbridge Island, Washington; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Alta was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ona (Smith) Ivy; her beloved husband, Charlie Avey; and siblings, Von Ivy, Uda White, Ruby Long, Harland Ivy, James Ivy, Arthur Ivy, and Myrtle Able.
Visitation for Alta is Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM with Brother Jason Ingram officiating. Interment will follow the service at Big Springs Cemetery in Newnata, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Gerald Ivy, Richard Ivy, Bubba McCain, and David Nichols.

My prayers to my cousins in California during your time of loss. I loved Aunt Alta and will miss her greatly. I am truly sorry I could not make to the funeral. I have so many sweet memories of this precious woman.
