John Zanders Scroggins
John Zanders Scroggins, 79, was born May 15, 1940, in Marcella AR, to Fleet and Edna (Shirrell) Scroggins. He passed from this life in Little Rock on July 20, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annette (Collins); two daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Stotts Isbell and Leann and Kevin Johnson; grandchildren John T. Isbell, Keleanna Johnson, Evan Isbell, Kadyn Johnson, Aubrey Isbell, Emry Johnson, and Collin Johnson; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Faye Scroggins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sammy Scroggins, and sister Isolene Scroggins.
He was retired from management in Synergy Gas Company and was an army veteran. He was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church. He loved his church family and was always ready to invite the people he met to church.
His greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them. He loved to cheer his grandchildren on in their various sports activities as Mountain View Yellowjackets.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 24, at Flatwoods Baptist Church with visitation starting at 1:00 and the funeral to follow at 3:30 with Bro. Maxie Haynes and Bro. Will Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ben Brown, Shannon Scroggins, J.J. Scroggins, Jerry Scroggins, David Nichols, Gene Kinley, and John Hartzell. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Hogg, Redgie Johnson, Tom Isbell, Weldon Duncan, Dwain Crymes, Jim Richardson, Ron Simpson, and Justin Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Flatwoods Baptist Church Mission Fund.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
