Sara Joy Davis Bradshaw

of Pleasant Grove, AR

May 23, 2019

Sara Joy Davis-Bradshaw was a child of God, a loving daughter, precious sister, beloved mother, adoring mimi, caring wife, and friend who will be missed by many. She was a Registered Nurse who had a gift for serving and caring for others. She passed away, surrounded by family, on Thursday May 23, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas at age 47. She was born on July 18, 1971 to Samuel Adler Davis and the late Joy Davis in Batesville, Arkansas. Sara's sudden and unexpected passing was due to a rare genetic disorder. Through her illness, Sara has allowed the medical field to pinpoint a disorder that will improve and extend the life of all her family, as well as many other families with this unfortunate diagnosis. In life and in death, she is caring for her family.

Sara was a dynamic woman who possessed a true compassion for people and a deep love of knowledge. She had a passion for reading. She had a talent for many art mediums including writing, drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, and crafts which she combined to make thoughtful and amazing gifts for her family. Sara loved the outdoors, often going on adventures with her family out camping, boating, hunting, and fishing. She had a quick wit and an infectious sense of humor and contagious smile.

She was loved and survived by her husband, Ted Bradshaw, her father Samuel Adler Davis, her daughter Molli Elizabeth Hamby (Lauren Holmes-Hendrix), her sons, Jacob Mark McGowan (Taylor Sky McGowan) and Samuel Luke McGowan (Hope Price-McGowan) and step-daughter, Danielle Bradshaw-Miles (Timothy Miles). Her grandsons, Gunner Mark McGowan and Grayson Edward McGowan. Her sisters Robin Rutledge (Tommy Rutledge), Jeanie Lawrence (Cecil Lawrence), and Julie Davis Oliver. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joy Davis and her brother, Gordon Brady Davis.

Visitation is Monday, May 27, 2019, from 12:00-1:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Her funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Her daughter Molli Hamby will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow the services at Kelley Ford Cemetery in St. James, Arkansas.

Pallbearers are Tommy Rutledge, Cecil Lawrence, Garrett Oliver, Gavin Oliver, Anthony Ivy, and Josh Rutledge.

Sara's legacy will impact her family for generations to come. She will be deeply and terribly missed.
