March 7, 1938 - January 27, 2019
Boss Stewart was born on March 7, 1938 on Walt Stewart's mountain. He was 9 of 13 children born to Walter and Mary Elizabeth Halpain Stewart.
On June 5, 1958 he married Patricia Ruth Stevens. On April 4th, 1959, they welcomed their first baby boy, Jimmy Leon. Six years later, on July 6, 1965, they were surprised with the birth of TWO more boys, Kevin Boyd and Kenny Boss. Finally, eight years later, on January 13, 1973, their family was complete when they were blessed with their one and only baby girl, Kami Rachelle.
Boss began working at F.L. Davis Builder's Supply in Greers Ferry and started driving the bus for West Side School in 1971. He made many friends and was well respected at the lumber yard, and he impacted many young lives driving the bus and was considered one of the best bus drivers ever. He enjoyed hunting and fishing during his down time, and he had many close friends who enjoyed the outdoors with him.
He was a strong man with one of the tenderest hearts around. Later in life, he gave his heart to Christ and became a member of Parma Full Gospel Church.
On January 27, 2019, Boss departed this life in Batesville, Arkansas, surrounded by his family, clergy, and many dear friends. He is survived by his sweet friend and companion, Donna Sue Sparks; his three sons, Jimmy Leon (Strang) and wife, Cheryl of Memphis; Kevin Boyd (Kat) and wife, Lisa; Kenny Boss (Pete) and wife, Linda, all of Prim; and his daughter, Kami Rachelle and husband, Brandon Sutterfield, also of Prim. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He is survived by 4 brothers and 2 sisters, too many nieces and nephews to count, as well as a number of young men who loved him like a second father, and many, many good friends.
Boss is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Ruth Stevens Stewart, his parents, Walter and Mary Stewart, one brother and five sisters.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hilltop Holiness Church in Prim, Arkansas.
