Dorothy and children,
I had the honor of being on the school board with Dan for several years. What an honest, honorable man he was!! That Georgia politeness and accent! That true grit he maintained.
Barret spent many hours at your house. What great memories he has.
I am so sorry in your loss of this loved one. The Henderson’s will always remember him.

Prayers to Dorothy and family. Heaven gained one of the best. We will dearly miss Uncle Dan. I will cherish the times he picked me up on his way to Tyler Bend the summer I worked at the park, the fishing trips we had on the Buffalo River after work, and the times he would take me horseback riding.. May God give you comfort and peace.

I worked with Dan for 5 years at Tyler Bend National Park and it was my privilege to know the man. He was a true patriot and served our country with class and dignity. He taught me a lot about water systems my last year with the park that I was able to use later in life. Thanks, Dan, for your friendship. May God bless Dorothy and your family during this trying time. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Dan was a very special man. He always had a smile on his face and never knew a stranger. We never actually worked together but he brought water samples into the Health office for years and that is where I got to know him. He was always kind, courteous, and very considerate. I have never seen him in a bad mood. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew him. RIP Dan.
