Georgia L. Chancellor, age 79 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 at her home. She was born in Shawnee, Kansas on October 19th, 1940 to George R. Meyers and Evelyn A. Short Meyers.

During her working years Georgia could be found working at the Searcy County Sale Barn. She loved the outdoors and treasured her time living in the Red River community. Georgia enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. She was a fiercely independent lady and a very hard worker. Her presence in and about the community will be greatly missed.

Survivors include a sister, June Smoot of Florida; brother, Robert Meyers; one daughter, Lisa Waitley Johnson; niece, Denise Sorrells; and many other friends and family who will mourn her passing. Georgia also leaves behind her little Yorkie dog, Jasper who was a loving companion for many years.

Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, George and Evelyn Meyers; and one son, Roger Waitley.

Cremation is by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas. Per Georgia's request there will be no services. I'm so going to miss out talks everytime it was time for Jaspers grooming. She and I definitely were 2 pees in a pod when it came to our fur babies. I admired how strong she was and hope to b as strong and friendly boy oh boy she'd help u anyway she could . Im going to miss her so much.

Saddened to hear of her passing. She was one of the first friends my Mom made when we first moved here. She really made us feel welcome in the community.
