Larry Bob Slanaker, age 73 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, September 13th, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. Larry was born in Hinton, Oklahoma on August 11th, 1946 to Bill Slanaker and Helen Dieball Slanaker.

Larry was a member of the First Christian Church in Marshall, Arkansas. He graduated from Hinton, Oklahoma High School where he excelled at football and loved playing the sport. Larry grew up on a farm and enjoyed the farming life. He sold real estate for a few years but he soon returned to farming and ranching. He spent most of his life enjoying this lifestyle. He adored his dogs, Lucas and Bear Bear. His presence will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 8 1/2 years, Talonye Kay Duck Slanaker of the home; his children, Glenn Slanaker of Fort Collins, CO, Sheila Janz and husband Kenny of Edmond, OK, Sherry Poinier and husband Garrett of Henderson, NV and Kelsey Mahfouz and husband Jonathan of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Aimee Janz, Sophia Janz, Natalie Janz, Logan Poinier, Hayden Poinier and Mackenzie Poinier.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Slanaker; and sister, Marilyn Fuhr.

Funeral services for Larry will be 10:00 AM Thursday, September 19th, 2019 at the First Christian Church in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Watts and Bro. Carl Mays officiating.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be on Friday, September 20th, 2019 at Hinton Cemetery in Hinton, Oklahoma where Larry will be laid to rest beside his parents.
