Herbert Paul Wilson, age 90 years and 7 months, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas. He was born on January 26th, 1929 in Columbia County, Kentucky to Belford Roe Wilson and Emma Florence Rooks Wilson.

Herbert moved with his family to Big Flat, Arkansas when he was eleven years old. He spent his working years at Blanchard Springs Caverns, Cotter and Marshall Shirt Factories and he was also a farmer. Herbert belonged to the Church of God, Seventh Day. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served for two years. Herbert was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Prudence Ione Sisk Wilson of the home. They were married for sixty four years and they had two children: Lonnie and Sonja Wilson of Big Flat and daughter, Ginger Carter of Harrison; four grandsons, David Wilson, Andy Wilson, Matthew Wilson and Derek Ledbetter, all of Marshall; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Wyatt Wilson and James Wilson. Herbert is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Belford and Emma Wilson; two brothers, Earl Wilson and wife Drucilla and Setha Wilson and wife Flosie; one sister, Mary Wilson; and son-in-law, Gerald Gilbert Carter.

Funeral services for Herbert will be 11:00 AM Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Darin Holliman officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 till 11:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be in Big Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Wilson, Lesil Morrison, Roger Wilson, Andy Wilson, Matthew Wilson and David Wilson. Honorary pallbearer will be Dan Spencer.
