Joe was an amazing person. Whether cutting meat in his store or singing like Elvis on stage, he was always humble and kind. My memories of him are all good. I grieve his passing. God bless the Lewis family.

How do you say goodbye to such a dear man? He had compassion and concern for everyone and did everything he could to make sure he helped so many. He will truly be missed. God speed Joe and since we know all God's promises are true I'll see you later on today. God bless you and your family, our prayers will be for God to send the comforter and bring peace that surpasses all understanding for your loved ones.
Joe was a blessing to all that knew him. One of my brothers best friends in high school and am sure they are having a great reunion in Heaven.
Prayers for family and friends.
“God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered “Come to me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn’t make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.”
Rest in Peace Joe peace is with you and may peace be with the family.

Condolences to his family. I remember going into Lewis’ grocery store when I would visit the Girod’s (my in-laws). Ma aka: Faye Girod would send me for bread and once Joe knew who I was, he knew not to put the bread in a bag as Faye didn’t like what she called camp bread. Joe was a good man and will be missed by his family, friends and community.
RIP Joe
