Evelyn Davis, age 92 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway, Arkansas. She was born in the Campbell Community of Searcy County, Arkansas on June 23rd, 1926 to George W. Morrison and Callie Wallis Morrison.
Evelyn was a member of the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She spent her years as a homemaker and helping her husband on the family farm. She was an excellent cook and cooked many meals for her family and farmhands. Evelyn had an amazing green thumb and could grow anything. She enjoyed working in her flowers and in the garden. She dearly loved her family and time spent with them brought her much joy.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Garrison and husband Ronald of Marshall and Peggy Ragland and husband Troy, also of Marshall; grandchildren, Kathy (Dwayne) Barnett of Dennard, Debbie (Wade) Smith of Leslie, Craig (Barb) Ragland of Dennard, Sharon (Bruce) Slay of Marshall and Kenneth (Stacy) Ragland of Dennard; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, George and Callie Morrison; her husband, Russell Davis who passed away in 1996; and her siblings, Paul, Fred, Clell and Fenton Morrison.
Funeral services for Evelyn will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Gary Ragland officiating. Special music will be performed by the Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church singers. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Wade Smith, Bennie Morrison, Eddie Morrison, Bruce Slay, Blake Petty and Jordan Comer.

I'm so sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. Loosing a loved one is never easy. I recently lost both my parents. After my losses, reading Revelation 21:3,4 gave me real comfort. It says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And Isaiah 25:8 promises: “He(God) will swallow up death forever.” God’s word offers us real hope for those who have died.
